We're going on hiatus for a few weeks. An extremely freaky thing happened today.

I just found a big pile of very old mail waiting to be filed, fall of 2011 (yes that's how it is around here). In it were typical rejection letters from the New Yorker, unopened, because they all look the same. I was about to throw them away and noticed handwriting through the envelope. So two of these rejection slips have handwritten notes on them (extremely unusual). One said "Keep submitting" and another one that says "Getting close". Yeah these notes are 18 MONTHS OLD. Never having opened them, I stopped submitting to the New Yorker last year.

So we'll be on hiatus for a few weeks. I need to resurrect my pen and ink skills, come up with the most brilliant ideas ever, and then I will post them here once they are rejected (there will be many). Plus it might take me a few weeks to get over my shock. I can tell you that I won't be sleeping at all tonight.

Blogger doesn't post videos very well, so
here's a link to my first animation.
