Someone's posted this on Gizmodo to imply that EVERY mom's keyboard is like this. It's kind of a damaging stereotype. I work in engineering education, and attitudes like his, including your cartoon to back him up, are really hurtful to girls and women who feel that they can't participate in science and engineering. I know it's funny to you because it's your mom, but he's making a case that every mom is like this. Sandy, it seems from the comments over there that the editor did that on purpose to stir up controversy, since they get paid per comment or view or whatever. I responded to their use of my cartoon but they never posted my comment, they stopped reviewing comments and seemed to just let it die.

ThinkGeek posted it to Facebook and I sent them a really irate email. I buy their stuff all the time and I was pretty mad.
